We are currently seeking a professional and enthusiastic Waitress / Server to join our Food & Beverage team. Role Overview As a Waitress / Server, you will be the face of our dining operations, ensuring that guests receive prompt, courteous, and personalized service. You will guide guests through their dining experience, from menu selection to the final course, maintaining the elegance and efficiency that defines the Starfire brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Welcome: Warmly greet and seat guests, presenting menus and explaining daily specials or chef recommendations with detailed knowledge of ingredients and preparation methods.
- Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, and communicate special dietary requirements to the kitchen staff.
- Service Excellence: Serve food and beverages promptly and according to hotel standards (e.g., proper tray service, wine pouring), ensuring all guest needs are anticipated and met throughout the meal.
- Table Maintenance: clear tables between courses, replenish utensils and glassware, and ensure the dining area remains spotless and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Assist colleagues during peak hours, support opening/closing duties (polishing cutlery, restocking stations), and maintain open communication with kitchen and bar staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a hotel, fine dining, or high-volume restaurant environment is preferred, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Flexibility: Availability to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or equipment as necessary.
- Attitude: A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
