At Starfire Hotel, we believe the guest experience begins the moment they walk through our doors. We are currently looking for a polished and articulate Receptionist / Front Desk Agent to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. This role is crucial in setting the tone for a welcoming, efficient, and luxurious stay.
Role Overview As a Front Desk Agent, you are the ambassador of the Starfire Hotel. You will manage the check-in and check-out process, handle guest inquiries with grace, and coordinate with other departments to ensure every guest request is fulfilled promptly. Your goal is to make every guest feel recognized and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Arrival & Departure: Perform efficient check-ins and check-outs, confirming reservation details, verifying payment methods, and issuing room keys while maintaining strict security standards.
- Communications Hub: Manage the switchboard, answering internal and external calls professionally, routing messages accurately, and handling email inquiries regarding reservations or hotel services.
- Guest Concierge: Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options; assist with booking transport or excursions upon request.
- Administrative Duties: Process payments, handle cash drawers responsibly, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain accurate guest records in the Property Management System (PMS).
- Problem Resolution: Listen to guest concerns with empathy and resolve issues quickly, escalating to management only when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in front office operations or customer service is highly desirable. Experience with hotel software (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds) is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language is an asset.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers, office equipment, and reservation systems.
- Organization: specific attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy lobby environment.
- Presentation: Must maintain a professional standard of grooming and presentation at all times.
